Average erect penis is in the region of 15 cm (or 6 inches) with a standard deviation of roughly 2cm (or less than 1 inch). Still, most men harbor desires of a longer penis under the belief that the longer it is the better it is for their partner. That, however, is a myth and the earlier it is broken the better it is. The female vagina is about 4 inches but has adequate elasticity to receive much bigger organs that that. The length of the male penis makes little or no difference at all to women to enjoy sexual intercourse, unless it is not less than 4 inches. The difference in size of the penis depends largely upon genetic but certain other factors such as culture, diet, exposure to pollution also play an important role. While arriving at the average erect penis measurement the other thing that is taken into account is the curve or a bend in the penis.

Much depends upon whether an erected penis is straight or curved or bent. Bent penis is a condition that may be genetic or due to a disease caused by formation of scar tissue or plaque in the internal penile tissue. The condition is known as Peyronie’s disease causes a curvature in the penis and can be painful till the time the plaque is healing. Even after the scar tissue is healed, pain is still experienced when erection takes place. Peyronie’s disease is treatable and there are some options that can be considered. Natural treatments involve a penile exercise program. Medication, however, has limited success in correcting a bent penis. The third and the preferred treatment option is surgery.

The girth of the penis is more important than the erect penis size. Peyronie’s disease has an adverse effect on both. Depending upon the location of the scar tissue and the extent to which it hardens penile tissue the erect penis may bend downwards. Segmental induration may even produce an hour glass shape. Penile surgery produces positive results and help in correcting the curvature much better than other treatments.

Erect penises generally point straight forward with a slight curve that is not noticeable. The curve due to prevalence of Peyronie’s disease is however prominent and noticeable. It not only makes sexual intercourse painful but may even inhibit sexual function. A bent penis is a source of great anxiety and can cause stress between you and your partner. If you have Peyronie’s disease you need to consult your doctor.

Surgery can help in having an average erect penis (not necessarily by stretching the penis). You may have to forego sex for about six weeks after surgery due to the dressing that has to remain there but you will be discharged on the same day. It may shorten penis size a bit. Having an average erect penis without a curve is any time better than a longer penis that inhibits sexual pleasure.

A flaccid penis is always bent down but bent curved penis while erect is matter of concern, especially if it is painful. A penis is usually slightly curved, only a teeny-weeny bit when erect. A noticeable curve signifies a disease known as Peyronie’s disease. Peyronie’s disease is marked by plaque or scar tissue or a small abnormality that forms on the penis. It specifically affects the tunica albuginea, the enveloping or covering membrane of the penis. The plaque prevents the penis to gain its full length during erection and causes a deformity that is generally known as a curved penis. Plaque that forms on the top of the penis is more common and causes an upwardly curved penis. On the other hand, plaque formation on the underside causes the penis to bend downwards. If plaque forms on both bottom and top of the penis, it leads to a recessed or shortened penis. In mild cases the curvature may be limited to 5-10 degrees but severe presentation may be of up to 90 degrees.

Bent penises can be a source of great anxiety not only due to appearance but also because of the pain and problems with sexual function. Penile deformity can pose a bigger problem if it takes an hour glass shape and affects the stability of the penis. Pain and discomfort are associated symptoms. The pain may disappear after a year or eighteen months but for as long as it lasts it can be pretty intense. Even after the pain disappears, it is still likely to be there during erection. Treatment of Peyronies disease is often recommended once it comes in the way of enjoying normal sex.

The pain persists even after healing and reappears during erections because of the inflammation caused by the initial scarring of the penile tissue. There are treatments available to straighten bent penis. The problem of a downwards curved penis is better left to surgical procedures but many men are not willing to undergo surgery of this highly sensitive area of the body due to obvious reasons.

A bent penis cure is also possible through stretching exercises and penile extenders. Since it is a medical bent penis disease it is better to look for specifically designed programs that decrease penile curvature. It is a lengthy process and it is futile to expect quick results. Other natural treatments include herbal medicines that enhance your body’s internal self-healing process.

When the plaque forms on both sides it shortens the penis. Many men do not even realize that that the short size of their organ is due to Peyronie’s disease and earn to live with it and suffer the ignominy associated with it. If natural treatment of bent curved penis is not your cup of tea you can opt for surgical treatments if you are ready to risk it.

Penis stretching can sometimes help correcting curvatures.

Soft tissue grafts surgery is one of the surgical options for correcting a bent penis. A bent penis, medically known as Peyronie’s, is a condition caused by plaque or scar tissue that develops inside the penis. It forms on the top or bottom side of the penis inside the tunica albuginea, the thick membrane that envelopes penile tissue. It starts as local inflammation and gradually forms into a thick and hard scar tissue. It is a different type of plaque and nothing in common with the one that develops in arteries or on teeth. Mild presentation of Peyronie’s is normally ignored and left to evolve on its own. In many cases the scar tissue heals and the disease disappears. This could take a year or more. But some men are unfortunate and experience severe manifestation of symptoms like a downward bent penis even when it is erect. Medical treatment is mostly ineffective in severe cases and the choice is between two surgical options, Nesbit procedure, implants or soft tissue grafts.

Treatment becomes necessary when the condition becomes extremely painful and interferes with the sexual function. Nesbit procedure is plication or folding in parallel folds. Tissue grafting is the replacement or expansion of the scarred tunica albuginea. Healthy tissue from the unaffected side is taken and grafted on the side that where plaque has formed. Earlier this was done by first excising the plaque. The recent development is that surgeons use the grafts to expand the contracted scars without excising. Although some amount of scar tissue remains, this procedure is less likely to cause postoperative complications like erectile dysfunction.

Although all surgical procedures carry an inherent risk, connective tissue graft surgery involves delicate and sensitive tissue. As with all penis surgeries there is a risk of post operative impotence in this type of surgery as well. It is extremely important that the operation is performed by a qualified surgeon who specializes in connective tissue surgery and a good track record.

Connective tissue graft cancels the bending effect of the plaque. Despite the risk involved it remains the most successful reconstructive surgery for straightening a bent curved penis. It is specifically suited for correcting a severely bent penis as well as increasing volume or correcting diameter constriction. Grafting surgery on the penis is also less likely to cause numbness but restoration of length of the penis is limited.

In some cases a penile implant will straighten the penis and allow sexual intercourse. In the event implantation fails to provide the desired result, soft tissue graft can be used in conjunction to correct the bend. Most penile surgeries give positive results but may also shorten the penis a bit.

Research on Peyronie’s disease and its causes is an ongoing process. It may be time before a totally risk-free cure is developed. Till that time soft tissue grafts remain the best hope for men with a bent curved penis that does not allow them to enjoy sex.

If you are looking for a Peyronies cure the first thing to determine is whether it is interfering with your sexual function. Peyronie’s is often associated with a curved penis without consideration to the fact whether the condition is caused by plaque formation or not. Peyronie’s disease is indeed a condition that leads to a noticeable curvature but is acquired and not one that you are born with. Most studies indicate that plaque formation in Peyronie’s disease is due to trauma that causes localized internal bleeding. Corpus cavernosa are two chambers that run through the length of the penis. In between the two chambers is connective tissue, which attaches to the tunica at the top and bottom. Trauma leads to stretching of the connective tissue, which can injure the tunica and rupture small blood vessels and lead to plaque or scar tissue formation resulting in a curved penis when erect. Peyronies cure is about straightening the curved penis through medicine, surgery or natural cures.

Natural Peyronie cure can do more to treat Peyronie’s than standard medicine. Although I ti snot mainstream treatment many men are using it because they have been unable to achieve positive results with conventional treatments. Since Peyronie’s disease is due to formation of scar tissue, treatment is targeted at healing. Natural cures can be of great help as they support the body’s inherent ability to heal. Natural treatments are also cheap and available without prescription. Conventional treatments, on the other hand, are not only expensive but also have side effects. Conventional treatments of Peyronie’s include medications and surgical procedures. A man with a bent penis is usually eager to help himself rather than talk to a doctor.

The plaque or scar tissue that has already formed is irreversible and can only be healed. Whatever the claims, conventional medicine has no known Peyronies disease cure that can be said to work to the full satisfaction of the patient. Medical supplement and other drugs have low success rates and it is usually a matter of trial and error. And some of them may not even work at all.

Unfortunately, surgery too does not offer a cure for Peyronies disease. There is a risk of irreversible loss of elasticity of connective tissue, which can hamper the ability to attain erection for the period that you normally expect it to last. It is a compromise that many may not want to make. Moreover, before any conventional treatment it is recommended that the patient wait for the condition to evolve.

Natural cures are provided by self administered manual techniques involving penile exercises and stretching devices. Vacuum pumps that have been in use for treating erectile dysfunction are also recommended for treating Peyronie’s. As it is, even doctors recommend waiting till the condition has clearly defined symptoms. Even if you not a great fan of natural cures, you can try a natural Peyronies cure safely.

Peyronie’s disease is the formation of plaque or scar tissue inside the penis and penis surgery is one of the treatment options. An erect penis affected by Peyronie’s disease is usually bent and may be painful. The condition can prevent a man from having sex and is also a source of anxiety or stress. Non-surgical treatments are limited and also have low success rates. Penis surgery is often recommended in severe manifestations of the disease or if it prevents satisfactory sexual experiences. Symptoms of Peyronie’s disease may appear suddenly or develop over a time. Symptoms include a bent penis, which may have an hour glass appearance when erect. Erection is obtainable but the penis is bent sharply downwards. Pain is experienced during the first six to eighteen months. Pain may be during an erection or during orgasm or even when touched when it is in its normal flaccid state. Most importantly, a scar tissue can be felt under the skin as flat pumps or hard tissue. Treatment should be sought if you experience pain during erection or if it hampers sexual intercourse. However, an accurate diagnosis is imperative before decided on a treatment regimen.

The cause of Peyronie’s disease is not fully understood but generally believed to be a result of an unhealed. It may be due to a sports injury or trauma during sexual activity. Problems in the normal healing process can result in a curved or bent penis. If surgery is recommended then a look at penis surgery before after pictures can help you in taking a decision.

Surgery for penis is recommended in instances of severe deformity or interference in sexual functions due to pain, erectile dysfunction, pain or inability to penetrate. The surgeon will opt for either shortening of the side that has not been affected or lengthening the side that has been affected. The shortening procedure is used in men who have reasonably big penis as it can shorten the overall length of the penis.

Penis plastic surgery has to be performed by a qualified urological surgeon well versed in procedures involved in corrective surgery of connective tissue. Although termed as cosmetic surgery, surgeries involving the penis are delicate procedures and any mishandling can lead to permanent damage. Penile implantation is the other option that men can opt for. Penile implants are artificial biocompatible tubes, surgically implanted to replace the spongy corpora cavernosa.

There may also be a risk of losing elasticity in penis surgery, which makes it all the more important that the surgery is done by an experienced cosmetic surgery penis surgeon. Patients are discharged the same day but the dressing remains for up to 72 hours.

The surgeon will also let you know how long you have to wait till you can resume sexual activity. Depending upon the type of surgery, this period may be anything between four to six weeks from the day penis surgery is performed.

The first step in Peyronie’s treatment is to identify whether the curved penis is normal or caused by a fibrosis process. A curved erect penis is normal in some men since they are born with it. A bigger curvature, however, is a problem and needs treated since it can inhibit sexual pleasure. Treatment of Peyronie’s disease involves natural methods, medications or surgical procedures. A variety of medications have been used for treating a curved penis. While some patients respond favorably to medication other report insignificant benefits. Doctors are not fully sure of the cause of the disease in individual cases but know that the disease follows a set pattern. Peyronie’s is a condition of curved penis due to formation of scar tissue. The penis may curve in any direction and the downwards curve is the most feared and problematic. Moreover, early stages of inflammation accompanied by a change in elasticity of penile tissue are irreversible, which makes medical intervention even more difficult. The end stage scarring can however be reversed. As the curvature is due to loss in local elasticity medicines can prove to be of help in early stage, which is normally six months. This is important for deciding whether surgical Peyronie’s treatment is required or not.

Medical intervention for Peyronies treatment involves the use of various drugs. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that is effective in treating scars and has been in use for treating Peyronies. Vitamin E in conduction with colchicines is even better for treating the inflammation. Superoxide dismutase formulations are suggested as effective Peyronies treatment.

Peyronie disease treatment with direct injection of Verapamil may be effective due to its property of interfering with the process of producing scar tissue. However, despite the presence of these treatment options the first step is usually to understand whether the curved penis interferes with the sexual function of the patient.

If the curve is not significant it is left to evolve on its own and treatment for Peyronies is used only in early stages of interference in the sexual act. Peyronie’s is basically formation of plaque or scar tissue in the corpus cavernosa. Scar tissue healing takes time but may heal on its own.

Surgical treatment is an option if the candidate fulfills four basic criteria. These include severity of the disease and failure of natural healing. During this period, which is usually a year, some form of medical therapy is undertaken. The final criterion is that the condition of the Peyronie’s is stable, which means it is neither deteriorating nor improving.

Though surgical treatments can restore sexual sunction, patients need to understand the risk involved in surgery. Each surgical procedure has inherent risks and may involve loss of elasticity or reduce the length of erection. Some surgical procedures may not provide a perfect straightening. Surgical Peyronie’s treatment is a matter of choice after understanding the compromise involved.

Peyronie’s disease is a connective tissue disorder that affects the male penis. It is the formation of fibrous plaque in the corpus cavernosa, the spongy penile tissue that holds blood for erection to take place. It was initially known as penile induration or pathological hardening or thickening of penile tissue and later named after the French doctor, François Gigot de la Peyronie who was the first to describe the disease. The disorder leads to a curved penis and in its severe manifestation can make it difficult for a man to penetrate the vagina. Many men are born with this benign condition and a small degree of curvature in the penis is considered normal. Penile induration is however different from a congenital curvature. Although, not associated with serious internal disorders, penile curvature due to the formation of fibrous plaque can inhibit sexual intercourse and also become a source of serious embarrassment at times.

Symptoms of Peyronies disease include pain, plaque of scar tissue and abnormal curvature when the penis is erect. The popular perception of the disease is that it is simply an abnormal curvature. That, however, is not true. The scar tissue can also cause indentations. While the pain may cease after a year or after occurrence of the disease, the later stages may result in erectile dysfunction. Although many men report successful sexual intercourse despite a curved penis, severe manifestation can cause extreme pain. In some cases the plaque forms in a hoop, which leads to segmental indentations giving the erect penis an hour glass shape.

This may make penetration extremely difficult and painful. The disease can affect men of any race and age but Caucasian males are apparently more susceptible after they cross forty. Medical treatment for Peyronies disease has varied success rates. Direct injection of Verapamil is the first line of treatment which usually heals the scar tissue.

Men suffering from Peyronies diseases can also use Vitamin E supplementation but shows mixed results. A combination of Vitamin E and colchicines has better success rates and can delay progress of the disease. Recent research has shown that interferon holds some promise for men with a curved penis due to development of scar tissue.

Peyronie disease surgery is the last resort. A procedure known as Nesbit operation involves plicating or gathering of the outer convex tissue. The operation requires skills of an experienced urological surgeon who has specialized in such corrective surgeries. You can also opt for tissue graft surgery or penile implantation to cure Peyronies disease.

The plaque in the penis is benign or non-cancerous and is not a tumor. It is also neither contagious nor a transmittable disease. The problem is only with the symptoms, which can be extremely pain and frustrating in severe presentation of the condition. Even in its mild manifestation Peyronie’s disease can sometimes lead to erectile dysfunction.

Peyronies is an abnormal curvature of the penis caused by development of fibrous plaques in the smooth muscle tissue of the penis. Typically, the fibrosis occurs in the fibrous envelope that surrounds the corpus cavernosa of the penis. Corpus cavernosa are a pair of sponge like penile regions that contain most of the blood that flows into it during an erection. The condition is mostly acquired after men cross 50. Men may also be born with a curvature but that is not understood to be this disease. Very few men suffering from this disease have difficulty in engaging in sex but it may affect the quality of an erection. Men with this disease usually do not get hard erections but this does not tantamount to impotence or erectile dysfunction. It is a rare condition that affect about one to three percent of males. The disease may also change the shape of an erection in other ways as well, such as reduction in diameter and length and indentation. Besides, a curved penis has a strong psychological component as well.

A lump is commonly noticed and often taken to be cancerous. To the contrary, it is neither cancerous nor related to cholesterol formation. Although it is mostly an acquired condition, curved penis may be hereditary and runs in families. This condition is in no way related to internal disorders as many men are known to develop scarring of hands and feet. Peyronies disease treatment is targeted at maintaining sexual function. In some cases, training and education can help to a great degree to reassure the patient. It is only in instances where the condition prevents sexual intercourse that surgery recommended.

Some patients have benefited from medical treatments for the condition while others report that medication does not make any difference to the curvature. That is the main reason why there is no consensus in regard to drugs for treating the condition. The preferred treatment is injecting Verapamil directly into the scar tissue. Peyronies surgery is recommended only in severe cases where natural healing fails to resolve the issue.

Surgical treatment of Peyronie disease involves various procedures including tissue grafts and implant surgery. Tissue grafts involve replacement or expansion of the scarred tissue with grafts from the other healthier side. Implant surgery, on the other hand, involves surgical implantation of biocompatible inflatable or solid cylinders in the corpus cavernosa. Another procedure known as Nesbit procedure corrects the curvature by gathering the outer convex side and folding it into pleats.

If the plaque forms in a hoop it can cause indentations and loss of penis diameter, which may be segmental. This can give the penis a typical hour-glass shape. This does not allow the penis to be adequately rigid even with high internal pressure of fluids. It is necessary to treat severe Peyronies as it inhibits sexual intercourse to a great degree and also be a cause of great embarrassment.

Learn how to straighten a curved penis to avoid embarrassment when you lower down your boxers in front of a lady. Curvature in the penis is normal in many men. Most of penile tissue comprise of spongy tissue chambers known as corpus cavernosa. If both sides do not develop equally there is likely to be a noticeable curve when the penis is erect. The curvature may also be due to other reasons as well. Injury to the penis during sports, especially football and rugby is one reason. If there is bleeding then a scar may form during the healing stage and the penis will curve to the side opposite to the scar. Although rare, there is also a chance of penile curvature in people prone to indulge in strenuous intercourse. Young boys tend to hide the bulge caused by erection into the folds of underwear. Excessive bending and cramping can also cause the penis to curve. The curvature could also be hereditary since some boys are born with an arched penis. The penis can curve into any direction, right, left, up and down and how to straighten a curved penis depends largely on the nature and cause of the curve.

A curvature does not have any biological effects. It can penetrate a vagina like a straight penis without women being aware of the difference. It may cause some problem in directing the urine flow into the bowl but men get accustomed to holding it while urinating. In extreme cases of a curved down penis there may be problems with penetration.

Curved penises seem to undermine personalities. The normally defiant male suddenly feels as if he is abnormal the moment he undresses to have sex. The fact is that the curvature may help in better stimulation because it allows the penis to reach areas that a straight penis would never reach.

Some men may need a downward curved penis cure. Surgery can straighten the curve provided it is done by a qualified surgeon with experience in corrective tissue surgery. The natural method to straighten the curve is by penile stretching exercises. Jelqing is just one of the exercises that can be used to straightening curve penis.

Look for a curved penis treatment if the penile curvature is causing problems to you and your partner in having satisfactory sexual intercourse. A proper penis workout program offers an exercise regimen that will manage the scar tissue as well as straighten the penis. There may also be a need to use penis extenders or penis pumps.

It should be understood that any cure will take time and you should not expect quick results. Scar tissue needs may take as much time for correction as it took to develop. The best strategy for how to straighten a curved penis should be to take up each exercise one at time and to keep your erection while exercising it is strongly recommended to use a penis ring.
